Which shashlik is right for you?
If you want to buy ready-marinated shashlik, start with the meat. For a first order, pork shashlik is the safe choice. With poultry, chicken thigh from the upper thigh stays especially juicy, while chicken breast is the lean option. Lamb and beef are for anyone who likes a rich flavour.

When should you order shashlik?
Order in good time before your barbecue, not the day before. Especially ahead of bank holidays, long weekends and warm summer days, lots of people are planning at once. A few days' buffer takes the stress out of it.
When the parcel arrives, put the meat straight into the fridge. The best-before date is on the pack. If you're ordering to stock up, read our guide to freezing shashlik first.
On the day: keep raw meat away from salad and bread, and use a clean plate for the cooked meat. Always cook pork and chicken through, at least 70 °C in the centre for 2 minutes. Times and tricks are in our guide to grilling shashlik.
Why buy shashlik from a master butcher?
Craft makes the difference. Master butcher Konstantin Morgel has more than 20 years of experience and cuts with his own Meister Morgel Cut®: even pieces that cook together. So there's no skewer where one piece is dry and the next is still raw.
It's marinated in the Russian shashlik tradition, the way you know it from the mangal. Read more in our guide to Russian shashlik. More than 140 five-star Google reviews back that up.
Live near Lahr? Then you'll also find our shashlik at local partners, including REWE stores in the region and FW Angelshop Ettenheim. Learn more about the butcher on the Meister Morgel page.
